Is Snoring Really A Big Thing?

Is it really such a big deal if you snore. Sure it can be a little bit annoying from time to time but it’s no big deal is it? Well, it is and it isn’t.

The first thing that comes to mind is of course that all of us want to be close to our partner. And sleeping together is of course on of the big part of a relationship. I’ve had hundreds of people telling me how bad they feel about having to spend the night in the guest room. Or on the sofa.

I understand… Believe me!

But then we’ve the life threatening danger of snoring. Your snoring doesn’t just keep your partner up. If your situation is anything like mine was, your partner nudges you several times a night. You don’t sleep through the night either. Both of you wake up tired and irritated. Tired people can’t concentrate in the same way they usually do. Normal traffic is all of a sudden life threatening.

What’s even more serious. When you snore, it’s because your breathing passages are partly blocked. You therefore don’t receive the same amount of oxygen as you normally would. And again, you don’t sleep as well. The most serious case of this would be sleep apnea. This is a ticket for high blood pressure, stroke, obesity and several other dangerous conditions.

The bottom line is that snoring is more than just an annoyance, it’s serious. And it needs to be dealt with.
